Highlights from ISAC meeting

ISAC (International Society for the Advancement of Cytometry) meetings are always stimulating and full of information from both scientists as well as vendors.  This bi-annual meeting in Budapest was no exception.  The biggest news is that Becton-Dickinson (BD) has purchased Cytopeia (the company who makes our highspeed sorter).  We are not sure of the longterm consequences, but in the short term, the Cytoepia devision will be independent.  Details

Students defend theses

In the last several months eight of our favorite graduate students have successfully defended their PhD theses.  The eight students are:  Omid Harandi, Prashanth Porayette, Abhijit Gurjar, Martin Gentile, Nisi Sahu, Manu Ray, Archana Iyer and Jianfang Hu.
