Discussion with Dr. Richard Haaland on Government Research Careers for PhD Scientists
Dr. Richard Haaland (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)
Dr. Haaland will be skyping in with the Center for Molecular Immunology and Infectious Disease (CMIID) group to talk about his career path into governmental research and the CDC. He received his PhD from Baylor University in Molecular Virology and Microbiology and pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at Emory University. He is currently a microbiology researcher with the CDC and studies HIV shedding and transmission. This event will be catered with snacks and refreshments.
