New Ways of Investigating the Genetic Architecture of Common Human Diseases and Complex Traits
Nancy Cox (University of Chicago)
Dr. Cox is Professor and Chief of the Section of Genetic Medicine at the University of Chicago. Her research is focused on identifying and characterizing the genetic component to common diseases and related complex human traits. She is a co-winner of the Landon Award from the American Association for Cancer Research in 2008, the Leadership Award from the International Genetic Epidemiology Society, and was named as a Pritzker Scholar in 2012. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Human Genetics, and Member-at-Large for the Biological Sciences section of AAAS.
