On Friday Oct. 30, 2015, the Small and Macromolecular X-ray Crystallography and Biological Calorimetry Facility held an open house. The open house was attended by both graduate students and faculty alike. It was intended to be a fun and informal way to educate the research community about the instrumentations that are available to all the multidiscipline departments both here at Penn State as well as to the outside research community. The event was attended by students from Chemistry, BMB, Biology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Agriculture and Veterinary Science. Graduate students on rotation said they found the event to be very informative and enjoyed touring the facility and hearing about the capabilities of each piece of equipment as well as enjoying some pre Halloween treats. Anyone interested in learning more about the X-ray Crystallography and Biological Calorimetry facility can contact either director, Neela Yennawar email@example.com or research technologist, Julia Fecko firstname.lastname@example.org.
